BRENT BOWEN: Our firm practices in the area of criminal and family law. And inside the family-criminal law realm, we also practice juvenile law.
Criminal and family law can intertwine. A lot of times clients don't understand what type of lawyer they really need. And sometimes in the family law issue, there may be criminal consequences. So it's important to have both in one office.
Our team consists of myself and my wife Cassandra. I handle the bulk of the criminal law cases, while she handles the majority of the family law cases. And we try to take a team approach to each case.
A lot of clients come in with drug and alcohol problems. And so we try to focus on the client's problems first and then deal with their cases second. My wife Cassandra Bowen does have a background in alcohol and drug counseling, which is very helpful when you deal with clients who have alcohol and drug dependency issues.
As a fourth generation attorney, it's important to stay current on the law. The laws change every year. And we go continue with education to focus our practice in the appropriate areas of law.
We encourage our clients to come into our office for consultations or meetings. That way we can always sit down and try to address what's going on in the client's life.
